Ha nevicato

Snow falls across a quiet scene in Ha nevicato - 1957. The artist builds the surface with broad washes and thin strokes, a method seen in much post war French abstraction. White and grey tones sit on top of a darker field, with a few small marks left open.

This fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the grey tones even, so the snow patches do not shine under a lamp. The whole piece arrives assembled when you choose the ready to hang option.

It reads well on a bedroom wall near a low light source. From the doorway you notice the pale wash first, then the thin darker crossings as you step closer.
