Haystacks in Provence — Fine Art

Haystacks in Provence shows a field of haystacks under a bright sky.

The paint sits in short strokes of yellow and blue, with the warm ground pushing against the cooler air above. The marks repeat across the surface, so the shape of each stack stays simple and the light reads as moving across the field.

This fine art print set in a frame with a back panel gives the surface a flat finish, so the blue tones stay clear and the yellows do not shine under a lamp. It works well on a hallway wall beside a mirror, where you see the broad yellow bands first and the small blue strokes later.
