Heart Stone — Fine Art

Heart Stone sets a dark shape over a washed background. The paint runs in loose bands, leaving open space around the form. Sam Francis placed colour in broad sweeps across the sheet. The work reads as a single solid mark with soft edges.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. The matte paper keeps the greys soft and there is no shine under a lamp. You do not need to buy a separate frame.

Above a long desk the dark shape stays clear from the doorway. From a chair away you see the paint bands and the open ground. In the late afternoon the surface stays even and the form holds its weight.
