High Country — Fine Art

High Country - 2000 by Ronnie Landfield sets a wide colour field across the sheet with broad painted bands drifting over it. You see the open ground between the bands when you stand back. Up close the paint shows its layers and the edges stay loose.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. White frame, wood frame, dark wood frame or black frame gives this image a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the painted bands easy to read. A black frame sits against the lighter ground and sets the bands apart.

In a dining room the big shapes read from the table. You notice the hard lines first, then the softer ground behind them. From the kitchen doorway the bands hold their shape and the lighter field stays open.
