High Yellow — Fine Art

The title High Yellow suggests a single bright colour on a plain ground. Ellsworth Kelly worked with large colour fields and hard edges. The print shows a flat yellow shape sitting on a white background. The boundary between the two areas is sharp and clean.

This fine art print uses a matte paper that keeps the yellow soft and stops shine under a lamp. The frame can match the room, a dark frame on a pale wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

Hang it on a light wall at eye level in a quiet hallway. From the doorway you see the yellow block first, then the plain white beside it. The simple shape stays clear even at a short distance.
