Home of the Hummingbird

Home of the Hummingbird sets a garden branch against open sky. Childe Hassam painted small quick marks for leaves and petals. The colours stay bright greens and soft yellows with a touch of blue behind them.

This object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the paint marks flat and even, so the garden scene holds its own shape without shine.

In a dining room, the bird nest sits near the window over the sideboard. From the table you see the branch shape first, then the small petals behind it.
