Ice on the Siene at Bennecourt — Fine Art

Ice on the Siene at Bennecourt shows a frozen river bank under a pale winter sky. Broad painted strokes build the frost on the water and the bare trees along the shore. Claude Monet painted this scene in his usual outdoor manner.

The finish on the frame can match the room, so a light frame sits on a dark wall or a wood frame sits beside wooden furniture. This fine art print keeps the grey and blue tones soft on the paper.

It fits a hallway wall where the cold light from the picture meets the day. You notice the painted ice first, then the small brush strokes as you pass by.
