Inbalance of Time by Richard Pousette-Dart

Inbalance of Time shows soft colour bands moving across a calm ground. The form feels steady yet unsettled. Richard Pousette-Dart built his practice around layered colour and quiet structure. You see those habits here without any busy detail.

A fine art print keeps the surface matte. The tone sits evenly on the sheet so the lighter bands do not wash out. A frame finish can follow the room.

It works on a stairwell wall. From the bottom step you read the broad colour bands. From the landing you notice the thin shifts between them.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
