Infinity Field

Infinity Field - 1971 by Theodoros Stamos uses broad bands of flat colour across the sheet. The painting follows the colour field practice of the mid twentieth century. Some edges are clear and some are blurred where one hue meets the next.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. The paper holds the flat tones without a shine, so the colour bands stay even from one side of the sheet to the other.

It hangs on the dining room wall above the sideboard. You read the wide colour bands first, then notice the soft changes between them as you pass by.
