/BIG/Incision — Fine Art

Jay DeFeo worked with layered marks and a slow build of paint over time. Jay DeFeo / BIG / Incision carries that method in a tight field of dark lines and scraped passages. The surface reads as worked and held, with marks pressed into the paint rather than laid on top.

A fine art print keeps those lines sharp and the scraped areas clear. The matte paper holds the dark marks without shine, so the build of paint stays readable under indoor light. A light frame on a dark wall lets the dense marks stay forward.

It fits a study wall above a low desk. From the chair you see the dark lines and scraped gaps, and the room keeps its steady feel.
