Kinetic Object by Jesus Rafael Soto — Fine Art

Kinetic Object by Jesus Rafael Soto is made of thin lines and moving planes that shift when you walk past. The lines come together in layers, so the picture changes as you move. This is the kind of work that uses optical effects and repeated lines to create a sense of motion.

The print is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The back panel keeps the layers flat and the frame holds the edges steady. When you hang it the ready to hang option brings the whole piece together before it reaches you.

In a hallway above a bench the lines catch the light from a side lamp. You notice the shifting layers as you pass, and the narrower marks only show when you stand near.
