Komposition

Komposition - 1956 shows a pale field with a few dark lines running across it. The lines are made by hand, with uneven pressure along each stroke.

You can see where the brush slowed and where it lifted. A soft haze sits around the darker marks on the pale ground. The writing rests on a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel.

The matte surface holds the soft greys without shine under a lamp. The picture fits a quiet hallway wall beside a coat rail. From the door you notice the broad pale band and the small dark strokes, then the frame edge.
