Komposition Mit 8 Roten Rechtecken Composition with 8 Red Rectangles 1964 — Fine Art

Eight red rectangles sit on a flat ground in this print. The layout is simple and steady, with each shape set apart from the next. Komposition Mit 8 Roten Rechtecken Composition with 8 Red Rectangles 1964 follows the kind of work Blinky Palermo made. The blocks read as flat colour rather than drawn layers.

The print is a fine art version. A black frame gives the image a clear edge on the wall. The frame edge sits close to the rectangles and keeps the outer space plain.

It hangs on a narrow hallway wall beside a coat hook. The red blocks stay clear in the dim light from the landing window. You notice the spacing between the rectangles when you pass by.
