Lands by Laszlo Moholy-Nagy — Fine Art

The title Lands points to open ground and shifting planes. Laszlo Moholy Nagy worked with bold geometric forms and sharp contrast. In this print, flat shapes stack in layers of black, white and grey. A few lines cut across the blocks and hold the eye.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The paper is matte, so the greys stay soft and no shine comes back under a lamp. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. You see the shapes without glare.

On a hallway wall with low evening light, the dark blocks read first and the thin lines come later. From the stair landing you notice the hard edges before the soft ground.
