About this work
Landscape After de Chirico Unfinished shows a long shadowed arcade stretching over a deserted open space. Smooth planes of colour meet hard lines, and the buildings feel still. Salvador Dali borrowed this surrealist painting style from de Chirico and left the marks open at the edges.
The fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. You can add the ready to hang option so it arrives assembled. The paper holds the cool greys and warm ochre tones without much shine, so the long shadows keep their hard edge.
It hangs in a quiet hall near the front door. From the entry you see the long arcade first, then the empty ground beyond it. When you stop with a bag in your hand, the shadowed columns lead the eye toward the far end of the hall.
