Landscape with Sunset 1923 shows a field of colour laid down in flat patches. A horizontal band of warm colour runs across the lower part of the field. The marks are broad and steady, made with a brush that leaves a clear edge. Paul Klee works with simple colour planes here.

The fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame. The matte surface keeps the flat colour planes even, so the warm band stays soft under a lamp.

It sits on the wall above the cooker in a kitchen. From the doorway you see the warm band and the flat colour planes, and from the table you notice the clear edge of each mark.
