Large Dark Red Leaves on White by Georgia OKeeffe — Fine Art

Large Dark Red Leaves on White shows broad leaf shapes in deep red set on a clean white ground. The painted forms run across the surface with a steady rhythm. Georgia OKeeffe worked with simple shapes and clear colour, and this image follows that approach. The marks feel measured and unhurried.

This is a fine art print with a white frame. The white edge meets the white ground, so the line between picture and frame stays quiet. The frame gives the picture a clear border on the wall.

It fits on a kitchen wall above a counter where the morning light comes in. From the table you see the red shapes first, and the small differences in the red tones become clear.
