About this work

Leaving Paphos Ringed With Waves III

Leaving Paphos Ringed With Waves III by Cy Twombly shows a pale ground with a few dark pencil lines and wider pale strokes.

The marks seem to circle and drift, like a shoreline drawn from memory. The paper grain stays visible through the paint.

A fine art print keeps those lines soft and the surface matte, so the writing reads without glare under a ceiling lamp. On a pale wall hung above a low bookshelf, the circling strokes catch the eye from across the room, and the pencil marks show up when you stand close.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
