LEmprisonnement

A broad dark field fills most of the sheet in LEmprisonnement - 1978, with thin lines crossing through it. The eye lands on the darker patch near the centre, then moves toward the lighter edges.

Alfred Manessier often left open space beside his marks. The fine art paper carries the ink without gloss, so the black tones stay flat under a lamp.

The frame finish can follow the room, a dark frame on a pale wall or a light frame on a darker one. It sits on the landing wall where the hallway light falls on it each evening.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
