Leonid Afremov by Leonid Afremov — Fine Art

Leonid Afremov works in thick oil paint, often showing city streets and busy lights. In Leonid Afremov the viewer meets bright colour laid in short strokes over a dark ground.

The fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a white, wood, dark wood or black frame. Each finish puts a clear line around the picture so the paint strokes do not run off the sheet. A black frame sets the dark ground back and lets the bright strokes stand out.

In a dining room with a white table and warm light the print reads from across the table first, then the small paint marks come into view when you pass by. The bright strokes catch the light and the dark ground stays quiet, so the room feels busy but not crowded.
