Leonid Afremov by Leonid Afremov — Fine Art

The canvas Leonid Afremov reads as a night street painted with thick oil paint. Bright colours sit under shop lights on the pavement. The artist lays paint in quick strokes with a palette knife. You see the street scene painting from across the room and the ridges of paint later.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paper is matte, so the bright colour pools stay soft and do not shine under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture follows the room.

It works on a hallway wall near a stairwell, lower on the plaster. From the door you see the bright shop windows, then the small knife marks on the paint.
