Lilac Bush — Fine Art

Lilac Bush uses short strokes of violet and green across a canvas. Vincent van Gogh painted the flowers with quick marks that push against the ground. The bush sits near the bottom and spreads upward in a thick mass. This fine art work draws on the post impressionist painting tradition of building colour from repeated small strokes.

The matte surface keeps the violet tones soft and stops shine under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the green strokes stay visible. Hang the print so the top of the lilac bush sits just above the middle of the wall.
