Line 1000 Meters Long

A straight line runs the length of the sheet in Line 1000 Meters Long - 1961. The line holds one tone from start to finish against a plain ground. Piero Manzoni lets the drawn mark carry the whole image. The work shows a single repeated gesture with no colour change.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A dark wood frame sets a firm border around the line and keeps the eye on the drawn path.

On a study wall the line runs across your view from one side to the other. From the desk you notice the steady hand that drew it. The plain ground stays quiet behind the single drawn path.
