Modern Painting with Clef 1967 — Fine Art

The picture shows a musical sign drawn with thick black lines and bright colour blocks. A clef shape sits on a plain ground with flat tones around it. The work Modern Painting with Clef 1967 uses the graphic look that Roy Lichtenstein made famous in pop art.

You can hang fine art on a wall that suits the room. A light frame works on a dark wall, and a dark frame works on a pale wall. A wood frame can sit beside wooden furniture. The matte paper keeps the colours from shining under a lamp.

It looks right above a desk in a study. From the chair you see the bold shape first, then the small colour changes near the edge. The musical mark stays clear at that distance.
