About this work
Mt. Chocorua No. 1 (1926)
A mountain rises above the trees in John Marin's Mt. Chocorua No. 1. This piece captures the essence of the landscape with a unique blend of abstraction and realism, showcasing Marin's distinctive style.
The artwork is dominated by a palette of earthy greens, browns, and blues, with bold, sweeping lines that convey the rugged texture of the mountain and the surrounding foliage. Marin's use of watercolor creates a sense of fluidity and movement, as if the scene is alive with the rustling of leaves and the whisper of the wind.
This poster brings a touch of the outdoors into any setting. It works well in a study or living room.
