New York Summer Landscape — Fine Art

A summer scene of New York sits in the painted surface. Buildings and sky mix with broad colour fields and a few straight marks. The picture uses the kind of flat painted ground and direct brushwork John Ferren is known for.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. You can see the shapes stay simple and the paint stays even. The white frame gives the picture a clean border on the wall. The frame edge keeps the painted field from blurring against the wall.

The black frame gives the same clear border with a darker line. It sits well on a bedroom wall. From the bed you notice the broad shapes first, then the small marks near the bed. The picture stays calm after the room goes quiet.
