Night Subway — Fine Art

Night Subway - 1948 shows a dark field with quick lines and scattered marks that suggest tunnels and windows. The marks press hard into the surface and leave a rough feel on the paper. Jimmy Ernst built these signs with a steady hand and a loose rhythm.
