The painting No. 7 - 1964 shows two colour fields set one above the other. A deep red band runs near the top. The lower band holds a dark tone that fades at the edge. Mark Rothko built this kind of colour field painting with layered paint.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the reds from shining under a lamp. The frame holds the sheet flat on the wall.
