About this work
Number 12 1949 by Jackson Pollock uses poured paint lines spread across the sheet. The eye moves along the lines and stops where the paint gathers. Some areas stay open while others carry more pigment. Jackson Pollock laid down these gestural runs in his studio practice.
The fine art frame in white or wood or dark wood or black gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. The frame edge sits down hard against the paint lines so the busy field stays contained.
It fits above the bed in a bedroom where the painted lines run along the wall. From the foot of the bed you read the line runs before the small splatters.
