Onement V — Fine Art

Onement V by Barnett Newman places a single vertical band down the centre of a coloured field. The painted band holds a clear edge while the ground stays even across the sheet. A viewer sees one hard shape standing apart from the surrounding tone.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. You place it on the wall and the metal hanger takes the weight.

It fits a plain wall near a doorway where you pass through at a normal pace. From a few steps back the vertical band reads as one clear shape against the field. Up close the edges of the painted mark stay sharp, and the flat ground holds its tone without glare.
