Palm Trees at Martigues Homage to Gauguin 1910

Palm Trees at Martigues Homage to Gauguin 1910 places tall palms against a bright sky in the manner of Raoul Dufy. The paintwork uses clear blocks of colour and loose strokes, a habit the artist kept through his career.

The fine art frame comes in white or wood and gives the image a firm line on the wall. That edge keeps the palm shapes from fading into the room.

In a hallway with morning light, you notice the greens first, then the warmer sky tone behind the trunks.
