Parade — Fine Art

Parade - 1962 reads as a procession of forms moving across the sheet. Broad painted bands shift from one side to the other with a steady rhythm. The painted ground holds the shapes without crowding them.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that takes a nail or screw. The painted lines keep their spacing on the matte sheet, so the flat colour does not copy the shine from a lamp.

On a kitchen wall above the counter, the long bands read as a route across the room. From the doorway the painted ground stays plain, and the darker band near the centre catches the day light.
