Paris 1934 — Fine Art

City scenes from the Paris period of Raoul Dufy use pale washes and quick strokes to set down buildings and sky. Paris 1934 carries that loose watercolour brushwork style. Soft greens and greys hold the shapes together without heavy outlines.

The fine art sheet uses matte paper so the painted tones stay flat and do not reflect a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the thin marks stay clear from the hall.
