About this work
A leaning archer shape moves through a field of blue and yellow patches in Picture with Archer 1909. The eye catches the figure first, then moves across the loose colour strokes that sit over an open ground. Wassily Kandinsky often built pictures from simple figures and bright colour patches.
This fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the blue and yellow tones soft, so the painted feel of the marks stays clear. When you use the ready to hang option, the print arrives assembled and ready to place.
It fits well on a hallway wall above a wooden bench. From the far end of the hall you notice the archer shape and the bright patches, and up near the bench the marks feel loose and hand drawn.
