Picture with Light Center 1919 by Kurt Schwitters shows a pale bright area in the middle of the sheet. Around it the surface carries small patches of different tones and thin marks. The marks are set down with quick pressure and short strokes.

This fine art print uses a black frame finish. The black edge gives the image a clear line on the wall and keeps the light centre from fading at the border.

It works on a corridor wall where you pass it twice each day. From the bend you see the bright middle first and then the small grey patches near the edge.
