Poppies by Georgia OKeeffe — Fine Art

Red poppy flowers spread across the picture with a few petals and stems. The shapes fill most of the space, and the rest stays open. This is a fine art print of Poppies by Georgia OKeeffe. The colours lean warm and the forms feel close, almost under your eye.

The paper is matte, so the reds stay flat and do not shine in bright light. A light frame sits on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale wall, and the wood frame joins wooden furniture.

It looks right on the landing wall above the stairs, where you pass it each day. From the bottom step you see the red shapes first, and up close the thin pencil line in each petal. The picture holds its place without asking for a second look.
