Portrait of Pegeen by Richard Pousette-Dart — Fine Art

Portrait of Pegeen by Richard Pousette-Dart shows a face built from thin lines and small brush marks. The features are not smooth. They come from many quick touches that leave a rough texture. You can see the pressure change from one stroke to the next.

This fine art print uses a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white finish keeps the light areas open. A dark wood finish puts a firm line around the face marks. The frame edge sits against the marks without covering them.

It works on a bedroom wall over a dresser. From the side of the bed you notice the line work first. A reading corner also suits the quiet tone. The face holds still while the marks move around it.
