About this work
Red Wall Destiny 1909 opens on a red ground pulled tight with sharp black strokes and quick spots of yellow. The marks press hard into the surface and move at different speeds across the picture. Wassily Kandinsky works in abstract painting practice and uses these pushed lines to build tension.
The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood and black and gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the red field open and the black strokes stay sharp at the border.
It fits on a study wall above a desk. From the doorway you see the red ground first and the black marks read as fast cuts. Up close the yellow spots sit beside the thick lines.
