Rencontre dans la campagne

A couple meets in an open field under a wide sky in Rencontre dans la campagne - 1944. The scene shows two figures close together with grass and land stretching behind them. Charles Lapicque painted many country scenes with this calm figure and ground balance.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fixed to the back. It goes up on a nail or screw without a separate frame. The surface stays matte so the sky tones stay even and the field marks stay clear.

Hang it at the end of a hallway where the light falls from one side. From the turn in the corridor you notice the two figures first, then the long strip of land behind them. The hanger keeps the sheet flat against the plaster.
