Rilievo cromodinamico — Fine Art

Rilievo cromodinamico - Op Art by Dadamaino sets coloured bands in motion across the sheet. The eye reads one band as taller than the next, then the picture shifts again. Sharp edges and flat colour make the surface feel unstable.

The fine art paper holds each colour without shine under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the bands stand out, or a dark frame on a pale wall keeps them quiet.

It works on a hallway wall near the first bend in the stairs. Step closer and the bands seem to slide past each other. From the landing you catch the whole colour shift at once.
