Rippled Surface Colour

Rippled Surface Colour uses parallel bands that shift from cool blue to warm orange across the sheet. The surface looks like water seen from above, with each band carrying a different shade. MC Escher built this kind of measured colour study in his graphic work, where tone does the drawing.

You get a fine art print that arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The surface has no shine, so the colour bands stay flat under a lamp.

Hang it on a bedroom wall near a reading lamp. From the foot of the bed you see the broad colour bands, and from the pillow you notice the small shifts between one band and the next.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
