Series 1, No. 8 by Georgia OKeeffe — Fine Art

Series 1, No. 8 shows repeated marks laid one over another across a plain ground. The lines press harder at the start and fade as they run across the surface. Georgia OKeeffe often painted in broad washes and sharp edges.

The white frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. The white border sits close to the painted marks and keeps the eye on the line work. The fine art print keeps the marks flat and dry.

On a plain hallway wall the marks read from a few steps back. From close up the pressure changes along each line. Over a low console the white frame holds the printed image steady.
