Side of St. George

Side of St. George by Paul Jenkins shows a slanted band of colour moving across the sheet. A wash of blue meets a lighter field of cream near the top, and the tones sit side by side without a hard edge between them.

You do not need a frame for this fine art print. A metal hanger is fixed to the back, and the piece goes straight onto a nail in the wall. The matte surface keeps the blue and cream tones even and stops glare from a ceiling light.

On the wall of a study above a desk, the blue band draws the eye past the books. From the doorway you see the broad colour first, and closer to the desk you notice the soft edge where the blue thins out.
