Six Aquatints — Fine Art

Six aquatint plates sit in a row across the sheet. Each one holds a soft band of tone, darker at one side and fading to nothing at the other. The eye moves from plate to plate, and most of the ground stays open.

The print comes as a fine art piece, ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back. It goes straight onto a nail or screw, so the row stays level without a frame. On the matte sheet the grey tones stay even and do not catch the light.

On a narrow corridor wall the bands read as a steady line down the hall. From the far end you see the six plates in a row, and up close the aquatint grain shows in the darker ends. It stays quiet against a painted surface.
