Solon I — Fine Art

Solon I by Cy Twombly shows broad pencil lines and dark paint marks that move across the page. The drawing keeps a hand written feeling, with a few words mixed into the lines.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The white frame gives Solon I a clean border on the wall. The white edge keeps the pencil lines clear and stops the dark marks from fading into the surround. The frame finish is simple and the picture reads as a single flat image.

On a landing wall the broad strokes stay readable from the stairs. From the top step you take in the whole sheet at once. From the bottom a slow walk shows the small pencil words and the paint strokes one by one.
