Square Tertre on Montmartre 2 — Fine Art

Square Tertre on Montmartre 2 shows a small public square on a hillside, with low buildings and bare tree trunks set against a soft ground. Broad paint patches sit on the surface and the forms read as simple blocks of tone. The work comes from the Paris street painting practice of Maurice Utrillo.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang and carries a metal hanger on the back that fits straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame. The matte paper keeps the muted paint tones flat and even under indoor light.

It works on the wall over the desk in a home study. From the doorway you notice the broad paint shapes first, and up close the slightly uneven paint edges become clear.
