Still Life — Fine Art

Still Life - 1981 by Mary Fedden shows a few ordinary objects arranged on a plain ground. The shapes sit in a quiet row with soft edges and a limited set of tones. You notice the painted forms first, then the simple background behind them.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paper takes the paint without shine, so the matte surface holds the quiet tone and the soft transitions stay even under room light. The frame can follow the room, matching a wood surface or sitting against a pale wall.

It hangs on a dining room wall near the table. From the chair you see the objects clearly, and the soft background keeps the food and the flowers from crowding the space.
