Still life, Delft vase with flowers — Fine Art

A blue Delft vase holds flowers on a table in Still life, Delft vase with flowers. The painted blooms spread above the rim and a broad stretch of empty wall stays behind the vase. The weight rests on the flowers and the curve of the vase neck.

This fine art print comes in a frame with a back panel. The frame gives the painted vase a solid edge and the back panel keeps it flat against the wall. You see the different paint patches more clearly when the light falls on the paper.

It looks right on a kitchen wall above the kettle shelf. From the doorway you notice the blue vase first, then the flowers step forward. The empty wall behind it lets the colours breathe without crowding the shelf.
