Still Life with Jug 1913

Still Life with Jug 1913 takes a simple table object and turns it into a bold arrangement. A jug stands near other kitchen things on a plain surface.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paint lays down in thick strokes that leave the shapes rough and direct. The colours stay near each other on the sheet.

You see the object first and the brushwork second. It belongs to the expressionist painting movement of the early twentieth century.
