Stilll Life with Anemones — Fine Art

Stilll Life with Anemones by Claude Monet sets flower heads against a loose painted ground. Short strokes build the petals in red and white over dark green leaves. The brush marks sit on the surface and give the blooms a flat look.

A fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. The matte paper holds the red petals without shine under a lamp. You notice the painted strokes more when the light hits the surface at an angle.

It works above a desk in a study. From the chair you see the broad shapes of the flowers, and from the doorway the dark leaves frame the red blooms.
